Safeguarding days at the Château de Lastours
|Dates from 01/01/2020 to 31/12/2020||Age > 17 years old||Type of project Volunteer site / technical internship|
The site operates on certain days throughout the year.
Volunteers participate in the consolidation of the ruins (12th-16th centuries), their development and their animation. These are one-off activities, without accommodation. Stays for organized groups can be organized (see contact below).
The Lastours site bears witness to 10,000 years of history (Neolithic, Celtic and Roman periods, then feudal clods and ruins of the castle from the 12th to the 16th centuries). A medieval-inspired garden has also been reconstructed ("Garden from the year 1000 to the present day")
This involves permanent site maintenance (vegetation, securing) and consolidation work (masonry with rubble stone, grouting, plowing out of water, etc.).
In addition to site activities, the association organizes activities at the site: animated daytime tours, animated nighttime tours, medieval camps, medieval festivals, etc.
