|Dates from 19/10/2020 to 30/10/2020||Age > 18 years old||Type of project Volunteer site / technical internship|
Take part in a training course in traditional marine framework in the oldest shipyard in France still in operation. The infrastructure, classified as a Historic Monument, is 30 minutes from Bordeaux. Our carpenter will teach you the fundamental gestures of the art of restoring a wooden skiff, a net fishing boat typical of the Garonne and emblematic of the association of Chantiers Tramasset. Survey of form, machining, steaming, laying of planks.
The former Chantiers Tramasset navals (1837) are a unique site. Listed as Historic Monuments, these are the oldest still-built shipyards in France. Composed of two bodies of buildings, two boat holds and an oven from 1891, this site is part of the river port of Le Tourne-Langoiran.
The construction days start at 9 a.m. so that you can take a break for lunch and finish early in the afternoon. Cultural and leisure outings can be organized in the evening to discover the Bordeaux region. The animators are qualified professionals and salaried employees of the association.
A list of outings and leisure activities is offered to the group. We collectively decide on the program. Visit of Bordeaux and heritage sites, wine tasting in the castles and outings on the water are possible.
