Located on a basalt peak, this former priory overlooks the Forez plain.

For centuries the priory has been a place of welcome for pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela. The site is classified as a historic monument. We invite you to participate in its enhancement by restoring the wall of the monks' refectory. We will dismantle the wall in order to solidify its base then we will reassemble it with suitable methods and techniques.

The buildings inside the Casadean site are a 15th century monastery and a 12th century church. The low wall, 13m long and 1.10m high, is located on the edge of the former monks' refectory opposite the gallery classified as a historic monument.

The site will be supervised by volunteers from the Friends of the Pic association and the distribution of work will be determined according to the skills of each.
The hours of site activities will be approximately from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

There are many picturesque sites and monuments to visit in the Pays du Forez. You can also enjoy walks and hikes in the surrounding area.
