|Dates from 19/10/2020 to 01/11/2020||Age > 18 years old||Type of project Facilitator training|
The Adichats association hosts the internship "Volunteer site leader on a Historic Monument" in Villandraut, in New Aquitaine.
Complementary to the "Organization and site pedagogy" course, this training will allow you to deepen your knowledge of the organization and running of a volunteer site.
The course is supported by the Château de Villandraut built at the beginning of the 14th century by Pope Clement V. This palace-fortress is the most successful example of so-called "Clementine" castles with its regular quadrangular plan, its six round towers and its paved moats.
You will be introduced to heritage restoration techniques both from a technical and practical point of view. You will have the opportunity to approach, alongside professionals including a chief architect of Historical Monuments, questions relating to heritage legislation, the ethics of restoration and heritage stakeholders, the principles of stone construction, shoring and safety conditions on a site.
Bring safety shoes and down.
The course will also be an opportunity to discover the cultural and natural heritage of South Gironde, between Sauternes, Landes and the Ciron gorges.
