Type of project Volontariat / Service civique

Make the volunteer aware of the missions of a regional network head involved in the restoration and animation of heritage and take an active part in the project of two local associations.

The object of the Historical Association of Marcoussis is the historical and archaeological study, restoration, maintenance, defense and promotion of the archaeological heritage of Marcoussis and in particular of the castle of Montagu. The association is developing an eco-museum to continue its project for the conservation of old agricultural equipment and its enhancement.

The Historical Heritage association works for the preservation and promotion of historical cultural heritage. Among its actions, it is committed to the safeguard and restoration of the medieval fortress of Château sur Epte which has deteriorated significantly over the past decades, accelerating its ruin.

The REMPART Ile-de-France Group is a union acting to promote, develop and coordinate the activities of its member associations, which it supports in their activities and represents to regional authorities. It supports them in particular in setting up voluntary work sites to restore and enhance the heritage of the Ile-de-France region. The associations of Marcoussis and Châteauneuf-sur-Epte are members of Groupement REMPART Île-de-France and each work for the restoration, enhancement and animation of medieval castles.

Example of missions that can be offered to the volunteer:
- Support for the development of information and promotion tools (newsletter, website

- Participation in the development of an exhibition scenography and mediation tools for heritage sites.

- Participation in the activities of local associations and co-animation of activities
- Meeting and exchanges with the partners of the territory and the member associations, participation in the animation of our regional network and in the various times of representation (fairs, forums)
