Are you between 18 and 30 years old, speak English and interested in heritage? Join this group of European volunteers for an exceptional project!
Castelroc, the medieval castle of La Roque is located in the upper Dadou valley, not far from the episcopal city of Albi. Built between the 11th and 12th centuries (Cathar period) it dates back to its origins in the Carolingian period. A small path through the woods leads to the rocky outcrop which majestically supports it.
In Castelroc, you will make extraordinary encounters, you will discover the fascinating history of Medieval Occitania, you will participate in an intercultural volunteer project for the preservation and rehabilitation of the castral village and its castle, under the benevolent gaze of its famous Dragon. and to the delight of visitors.
Participants will be offered an introduction to archaeology, culture and maintenance of the medieval garden, as well as the practice of traditional masonry. It should be noted that the progress of the construction site can be greatly influenced by the current weather conditions.
Leisure will depend on the means of transport available, whether it is walking or renting vehicles.
