Fédération des associations pour l'étude de la Corse (FAGEC)

Created in 1970 in Corte, the FAGEC (Federation of Associations and Groups for Corsican Studies) brings together ten associations "" law 1901 "" whose goal is the study and promotion of the ancient island heritage. These associations act in various fields: rescue, consolidation and enhancement of Romanesque churches, research in prehistoric, classical and medieval archeology, collection of traditions and legends, collection of the toponymy of nearly 120 island municipalities, analysis and study of old deeds?
Two associations are particularly active in archeology: the Association of Friends of Mariana and the Association for Research in the South-East of Corsica (ARSEC).
