Patrimoine et environnement des Monts de Gy

The Heritage and Environment association created in 2009 aims to preserve and safeguard the built and natural heritage that represents capital for the entire community.

The project is based on three pillars: Culture, Environment and Heritage, by:

- Rehabilitating two municipal buildings, the presbytery and the house known as "Monk"

- Redeveloping terraces behind the Moine house and the presbytery garden in the form of a preservation orchard by planting local fruit trees, vines and aromatic herbs on the Monts de Gy

- Setting up an animation plan with local associations in order to give life to these places

- By making it possible to link up with the three dry lawns (Champtournaux, Folle, Fresse) which for many years have been the subject of study and work by numerous organizations which intervene there. This area is classified as a Natural Area of Ecological, Faunistic and Floristic Interest (ZNIEFF).
