The association restores, saves and animates monuments and natural or built sites in Aveyron. Its aim is also to reinsert people in difficulty deprived of employment.
The Association of Friends of the Château de Montaigut is the seat of the REMPART Midi-Pyrénées union.
The Friends of the Château de Montaigut have set up educational activities for schoolchildren. A program is proposed or can be established in consultation with the teachers from the resources of the site. Individual, group or thematic tours are offered all year round. Games and treasure hunts are offered to children as well as the loan of costumes for princesses and knights. The first fortnight of August the castle hosts a theater festival for all.
For ten years, the association has welcomed people in great difficulty, beneficiaries of the RSA or young people. These people are mainly sent by the Medico Social Center of Saint-Affrique or by the Departmental Local Mission of Saint-Affrique.
The structure in place allows them a progressive social (group life), professional reintegration (discovery or rediscovery of the working world) which will give them the essential assets to adapt to the society in which we live and regain dignity and work.
