Nestled in the heart of the Mediterranean Corbières, the small wine-growing village of Coustouge is surrounded by scrubland and wild nature. For 20 years, we have welcomed more than 400 volunteers on a project to enhance the historic center. We suggest you continue this adventure by completing the construction of dry stone coves.
We have rebuilt a completely ruined building in the village square. Each of the 3 floors now hosts many activities: an associative café, with themed or shared meals that extend conferences, shows, screenings, etc. ; a library and its eclectic activities; yoga and karate classes.
This year, we will complete the development work on the village square (to which the reconstructed building overlooks), by paving the ground in dry stone cobbles.
The worksite takes place in the morning from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Midday meals (always greatly appreciated) are prepared by our cook with fresh products. The participants organize the collective life and prepare the evening meals in turn, in pairs or collectively.
Weekends and afternoons are free: you can take advantage of the exceptional setting of Corbières for hikes or swimming in the river. Our workcamp is intended for an adult audience. There are no entertainment activities scheduled. If you come with your vehicle, you can organize your trips independently.
