The Saint Amandois History and Archeology Circle was created in 1970 for the study and promotion of local heritage. Its activity remains essentially centered on the fortress of Montrond (13th-17th centuries), a major monument of Saint-Amandois.
The association intends to conduct a historical, archaeological and architectural study of this fortress. It also wishes to conserve and enhance the structures that have been brought up to date for cultural and tourist purposes (creation of museum spaces and routes for visitors).

The association welcomes schoolchildren on the site for educational visits with teachers. She can also intervene in class on request.

The association regularly employs people in difficulty within the framework of specific systems (CES-CEC). It has also already participated in the organization of school-building sites.
