Montagu Castle

Built at the beginning of the 15th century by Jean de Montagu, the castle of Montagu was one of the last castles built in France.

Having become dilapidated and hardly usable, the castle was demolished at the start of the 19th century.

Today there are the leveled ramparts and two towers, one of which has been transformed into a chapel.

The historic association of Marcoussis maintains and protects the ruins of the castle.
