Ranrouët Castle

Located in a strategic place, the Château de Ranrouët commanded the entrance to the peninsula of Guérande for those who came from Brittany. It was built in the 13th century and constantly altered until the 17th century.

Registered in the additional inventory of Historic Monuments in 1925, it was not until the 1970s that the association "Les Amis du château de Ranrouët" took care of the castle and enhanced it.

The will is not to "reconstruct" the castle of Ranrouët, the restoration effort is led in a bias of consolidation and security of the places and the public.
