The priory of Lanville is one of the monumental Charentais sites. Imposing Romanesque church, remains of an implantation of regular canons dedicated to the rule of Saint Augustine in the 11th and 12th centuries. Of the monastic complex, the 18th century church and priory, are the remains. The best preserved. The remains of a 14th and 15th century cloister occupies the western part and presents us with beautiful pieces of Gothic architecture. A chapter house can be seen in its elevation and in its beautiful proportions. This set offers this site a beautiful setting in the heart of the Charentaise countryside.
