Presentation

The ASPO, Association de Sauvegarde du Patrimoine d'Orges, has set itself the priority goal of restoring the Notre Dame des Ormeaux chapel dedicated to Sainte Libère.

The association was created on April 20, 2017 to come to the rescue of this little jewel of local rural heritage.

For any rnformation, please contact the president of this assoication, Jeff Bardin on 06 71 07 78 40.

This chapel dates back to the 17th century (1640) and has suffered from the ravages of time. As a result, it has deteriorated considerably. However, as the oldest building in the village, it would have been a shame to let it fall into total ruin.

That's why a restoration project has been initiated and is about to get underway, with work being carried out by village volunteers and volunteer workcamps under the aegis of the Rempart union.

The work to be carried out involves masonry. It involves rebuilding the walls, buttresses, double arches, stone vaults and flat tile roof.
