Since 1989, the Gombervaux Association has been preserving, studying and bringing to life the Château de Gombervaux, a 14th-century fortified house in the heart of Joan of Arc country.

The Gombervaux Association has been a member of the REMPART Union since its inception. Since then, and to this day, the association's conservation work has been structured around a "Stones" workcamp in July, highlighted by the "Concert pour une pierre", an annual event organized during the workcamp. A "Calepinage" workcamp in the spring has been added to the restoration program to survey and analyze the building's exterior facing.

Since 2017/2018, the Association has multiplied its worksite themes. Stained glass and carpentry sessions have been added to the summer program.
