To preserve built or natural heritage and traditional know-how, REMPART carries out collective, educational, training, mediation and integrationactions .The organization of the Martinique network includes a variety of actions:

  • Promotion of local cultures and know-how:

Highlighting projects to promote our associations, heritage and know-how in Martinique and the wider Caribbean.

  • Raising awareness of heritage and the environment:

Setting up a heritage circuit and animation tools. Participation in national events (European Heritage Days, Salon International du Patrimoine Culturel, etc.).

  • Volunteer heritage restoration projects:

Organization of workcamps at the Maison de quartier de Balata, the former Collège de Saint-Ésprit and the three-masted schooner Le Toumelin.

  • Discovery and training in heritage professions:

Experience-sharing and meetings with professionals. Consolidation of inter-network technical skills.

  • Educational activities and artistic and cultural education:

Creation of an educational kit and workshops to discover traditional techniques.

  • International development:

Cultural exchanges with institutions and associations in the Caribbean and beyond.
