Saint Bénigne Cathedral is the tallest monument in the city. Former abbey, it is attached to the Municipal Archaeological Museum which occupies the main wing of the former Benedictine Abbey Saint-Bénigne.
Saint-Bénigne Cathedral in Dijon is a 13th-century Gothic-style church located in the protected center of Dijon. The building is dedicated to Saint Bénigne de Dijon (2nd century Christian martyr). Abbey of the Saint-Bénigne de Dijon abbey (6th century), which later became a cathedral in 1792 following the Saint-Etienne church in Dijon which had first received the seat of the bishopric of Dijon created in 1731, it is classified historic monument since 1862 and the crypt is classified historic monument since 1846. It is the tallest building in Dijon with a height of 93 meters.
