Housed in the Maison Labat, a 19th century mansion, you will carry out all the stages of processing the furniture discovered in the moat of the Villandraut castle, dating from the 14th century, located 3 minutes from the association.

This site also offers you the opportunity to discover different heritage sites and historical monuments in South Gironde (Clementine castles and castle mottes).

Supervised by an archaeologist and various speakers who will come to participate and pass on their knowledge to you, you will carry out the stages of the post-excavation: characterization and sorting of the furniture (ceramic, metal furniture, etc.), introduction to Computer Aided Drawing (Illustrator software), photographs of the remarkable furniture. In addition, visits to medieval castles and southern Gironde castral sites are planned in order to understand the historical and archaeological context of the furniture studied.

You will be fed and housed in the Labat house, the association's gîte and living space, located in the village of Villandraut.

If you want, you can bring your computer to learn how to process data directly on your hardware.

A tasting in a local wine château is planned as well as a visit to remarkable sites, hikes are also accessible from the village (notably along the Ciron river, a rich natural heritage).
