This course offers you an introduction to the traditional techniques of blacksmithing and ironwork, from drawing to shaping, going through the drawing, the execution of points, thinnings, scrolls, riveting or soldering.

Your achievements (hinges, railings, grid and handrail) will be used for the construction of the Porte de Laon and for the development of the city. You can also work on small personal items that you take with you.

The forge workshop is located in the lower town. You are dropped off by the technical supervisors or, if you feel like it, you can go there on foot!

We have the project to finish the realization of a wrought iron pergola with plant motifs which will dress the municipal park of the village.
There will also be hardware, hinges and locks intended for medieval-inspired doors made in carpentry for the Laon gate.

The guided tour of the castle and the fortified enclosure are essentials at the start of construction.
We also offer one or two other tours of the region.
