REMPART at the International Heritage Fair of Paris

REMPART took part in the International Heritage Fair of Paris at the Louvre, from October 27 to 30, 2022.

This annual fair aims to gather heritage professionals and enthusiasts, to showcase the quality of the techniques, technological advances, specialized works or associations, such as REMPART, which protect heritage.

Accustomed to the meeting, REMPART ran a booth, where we introduced our projects to the visitors, including the First Lady and the Minister of Culture. We also hosted a masonry workshop for everyone to learn how to build a wall with traditional masonry techniques. 

This year, the Fair’s theme was made on environmentally friendly practices. Within this framework, REMPART held a conference called “Built heritage and natural heritage: dialogues”, with Olivier Lenoir, General Delegate of REMPART, Nicolas Portet, archaeologist and manager of the Laboratory LandArc (Archaeological & heritage enhancement), Bernard Romagnan, vice-president of the REMPART member association Conservatoire du Patrimoine du Freinet, and Marie-Georges Pagel-Brousse, president of REMPART member association Adichats.

REMPART also participated in several conferences and webTV :

• “Ecological transition and heritage: issues and challenges”,
• “Heritage actors facing the challenges of sustainable development: from the economy of materials to responsible rehabilitation, a daily concern in the preservation of heritage”
• “Recycling materials”
• “Atrium magazine, a collaborative process for heritage and its preservation”
• “The preservation of the environment – What about built heritage”
