Animation site: village and castle of Montaigut

After having restored the castle, the village and the hamlet of La Jasse, the association created an eco-museum on this registered site, remarkable in southern Aveyron which dominates the Rougier de Camarès.

We invite you to bring this old village back to life by leading various workshops in the restored houses: forge, carpentry, bread oven, farm kitchen, school... and numerous exhibitions.

The village and the castle of Montaigut are located on a classified site, which dominates the Rougier de Camarès in the south of Aveyron.

This entire site has been restored in volunteer work to create an eco-museum which receives many visitors each year.

Enhancement of the outdoor spaces of the ecomuseum.

A day usually goes like this:

9 a.m. breakfast

10 a.m. to 6 p.m. distribution in the various workshops of the ecomuseum, creation of animations in connection with the members of the association, meeting of the visitors.

12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. lunch at the gîte du château de Montagut

These activities will take place in rotation during the day.

Accommodation will be in the exceptional setting of the old stables of the castle, converted into a gîte.

Visits to the monuments of the region, the cellars of ROQUEFORT, the Viaduct of MILLAU, the VIALA tower in PAS de JAUX... you will take advantage of the lake of CAMARES for swimming.
