Practice the art of stone engraving with a lithographic press bequeathed to the city of Saint-Pourçain-sur-Sioule.

This artistic technique makes it possible to create black and white or color images. Initiated by a professional in painting and engraving, you will carry out all stages of production: graining of lithographic stones, free drawing on paper, drawing on stone, acidification, inking, printing and numbering of the prints.

Saint-Pourçain-sur-Sioule is a small town of medieval origin which developed around its Benedictine monastery. It is precisely in the cellars of the old monastic house that the lithographic press was installed.

The lithographic workshop is held from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. He is supervised by Henri Guibal, visual artist, and Annie Regond, art historian. You will observe various types of engraving (on wood, on metal ...), you will write a press note and you will welcome the public and the press.

Visit of workshops and meetings of artists, Visit of collections of engraving and paintings. Discovery of local heritage. Walks by the river.
