Tired of scrolling aimlessly on social media? Aspiring to dedicate time for the common good? Can’t stop thinking about your next adventure? Finally ready to fulfil your New Year resolutions and try something new?

Well, good news! You can start planning your summer! REMPART has published its heritage preservation projects online, from June to October, in around one hundred historical sites all over France.

There is something to suit all tastes: we offer workcamps on various topics, from archaeology to traditional stonework, but you could also try your hand at woodwork or decorative ironwork. No skill is required to participate, competent technical group leaders will assist and guide you. The workcamps usually last two weeks but intensive sessions on specific skills can be shorter (focused on stained-glass windows or lithography for instance).

As for the volunteers you will meet, they come from France and the whole world. There is no upper age limit nor languages proficiency requirements, however, a basic level of French might be useful. Actually, it is the perfect opportunity to commit for a good cause while discovering the French culture, language and making friends you might have never met anywhere else. Because not only will you develop new skills and help a heritage preservation project, but you will have spare time to visit the surrounding areas, taste local dishes or admire the sun sets on the most beautiful panoramas.
